HubSpotters often say the number one reason they like working at HubSpot is how much they learn from the people they're surrounded by. HubSpot is bustling with people at the top of their game - the opportunities to learn, grow, collaborate, and build are endless.
Whether we’re going out for ice cream on the first day of summer, having pizza on a Thursday, or dialing into virtual mix and mingles, there’s always a reason to enjoy time with your colleagues worldwide. We organize a variety of in-person and virtual events so you never feel too far from meaningful connections with fellow HubSpotters whether cheersing virtually with your drink of choice or aah-ing after work at our Spree-view office. There's never a shortage of Instagrammable moments.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
Despite loving all things sales and loving speaking in front of customers, public speaking, etc, I'm a massive introvert!
What work option did you choose and why?
Flex - I love being able to maximise my time outside of work so saving commute time is a huge bonus for me (and my dog as he loves his morning walks!), but I equally love the buzz of the office and seeing my team in person is hugely important to me. It's the best of both worlds.
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I'm on the UKI Mid Market Sales Team. I lead a team of 7. Days vary hugely but often involve lots of 1:1s and coaching calls with my reps, deal strategy sessions, team coaching/training calls, and time spent analysing lots of reports to see what my team should be focusing on to get the best ROI on their time and planning for the future of our segment and where our growth will come from.
What's one thing you love about the London office?
Definitely the people. There is such a fantastic crew in the London office and going in feels like catching up with a group of friends. I get a lot of energy from my time in the office.
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
We have such a supportive team environment that I know everyone has my back. I feel safe to try new things, make mistakes, and share my learnings, which is so important if you want to grow your career.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I'm a fruit dodger. Not a fan of the majority of fruits!
What work option did you choose and why?
Home. This allows me to manage work and life with a young daughter and not waste 2 hours+ per day commuting into London, which is time spent with family and exercising.
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I'm a sales rep helping small businesses in the UK and Ireland evaluate HubSpot. A typical day is responding to inquiries, finding good-fit customers for HubSpot, and managing existing customers.
What's one thing you love about the London office?
The people and atmosphere. The London office is full of great people.
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
HubSpot treats employees fairly and transparently. Every decision made has been thought through well and is communicated well. HubSpot also offers amazing benefits and genuinely cares for employees.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I lived in Sydney for 7 years and started working at HubSpot there, and was able to transfer home to the UK.
What work option did you choose and why?
I chose home - I'm no longer living in London as I moved in with my partner to where he is based. Working remotely has given me that flexibility but I still love to work from the London office whenever I'm there.
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I'm a Sales rep in Mid-Market. I work with companies looking to evaluate their tech stack and ways HubSpot's platform can hit their business goals.
What's one thing you love about the London office?
I was one of the first London reps 2.5 years ago and have seen the team grow so much in that time. Always a great energy in the office.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I took 2 years off before starting University to travel South East Asia.
What work option did you choose and why?
I chose home as I prefer to not take the train during rush hour. Also the more time I can spend with my cats the happier I and they are!
What team are you on and what does an average day look like?
I am a software engineer on the Self Service Buying team in the Fintech Org. My team owns checkout, which customers use to buy HubSpot products. My day-to-day involves writing code, working on cross-organizational initiatives, and ensuring customers have a great buying experience.
What's one thing you love about the London office?
The office is located in the heart of London near great restaurants and art galleries so there is always something to do after finishing the day. It is also amazing to see how much the office has grown.
How does HubSpot's culture help you do your best work?
Everyone here is transparent and empathetic, this creates a strong sense of psychological safety where I feel safe to ask for help and challenge/question decisions made. This has tremendously helped me grow as an engineer.
